Psychologist - Child Development Center

POSITION SUMMARY:  Under the direction of the Director of Behavioral Health Services, this position is responsible for performing the duties required to provide psychological services for patients in the Child Development Center.

Education:      Doctorate in Psychology.

Experience:

1. Three (3) years postgraduate experience.
2. Two (2) years experience working with disadvantage children and families.

• Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated skill in clinical interviewing.
• Demonstrated skills in consultation and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with staff, patients, and the community.
• Ability to be sensitive and treat people from diverse backgrounds.

Transportation Requirement: Must possess a valid driver's license and automobile with insurance coverage as required by the State of Missouri.

License(s)/Certification(s) Required: Licensed as a Clinical Psychologist by the State of Missouri.

Essential Functions

1. Completes psychological assessments, testing and provides therapy to CDC patients.
2. Treats and diagnoses patients in health center, school and family setting.
3. Function as team leader in an integrated team, to include physician, psychologist, social worker, speech therapist, clinical assistant and other professionals as needed.
4. Monitors treatment-planning efforts.
5. Monitors case records to ensure quality and professionalism.
6. Develops and aids in the implementation of treatment program.
7.  
8. Refers patients to appropriate facility; conducts follow-up on referrals.
9. Collaborates with outside agencies, outpatient programs, and other treatment providers to enhance patient care.
10. Accepts referrals, provide consultation and serve as a resource programs outside of the Affinia Healthcare community.
11. Provides telephone consultation as needed
12. Performs other duties as assigned by Director.
