Patient Care Coordinator
POSITION SUMMARY: Provides care coordination with the goal of improving the overall oral health of the patient population. Seeks to improve the dental experience by ensuring delivery of services and quality outcomes.
POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor degree preferred
Experience: Requires three years experience in various aspects of dental office management.
Skills and Abilities which may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly associated with this position:
- Good written and strong interpersonal communication skills including the preparation of reports.
- Good computer skills.
- Knowledge of dental billing.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to function independently.
- Knowledge of dental insurance.
Transportation Requirement: Must possess a valid driver's license and automobile with insurance coverage as required by the State of Missouri.

FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
Essential Functions
- Interact with patients re: treatment plan and payment options.
- Promote compliance and improve outcomes by contacting patients, assisting with
appointments, transportation needs, oral and overall health resources, etc.
- Proactively collaborate with dentists, dental students, staff, and outside organizations.
- Ensure patient satisfaction.
- Verify insurances.
- Maintain organized system for tracking and follow-up.
- Compile reports as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Attend meetings as required.
