Associate Director, Health Center Operations
POSITION SUMMARY: Perform the duties required to coordinate and monitor provision of medical services in a professional manner for each individual patient. Assigned administrative authority,
responsibility and accountability to carry out assigned duties.
POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelors of Science in Nursing preferred
Experience: Three (3) years as an RN in community clinic, public health nursing, and/or hospital setting. Three (3) years prior management experience required.

Transportation Requirement: Must possess a valid driver's license and automobile with insurance coverage as required by the State of Missouri.
License(s)/Certificate(s): Licensed as RN in the State of Missouri, CPR.
Essential Functions
- Coordinate and monitor provisions of medical services.
- Assist providers, take and record vital signs, abnormal results, distribute sample medications and administer injections per provider's orders.
- Triage walk-in clients, call-in clients as appropriate for patient care and safety.
- Keep patients records; complete appropriate forms and reports. Provide appropriate documentation. Adhere to patient confidentiality.
- Monitor exam set-up.
- Provide health education and counsel patients and family members in provider instructions and treatment program. Coordinate nursing care plans with other team members.
- Initiate the referral of high-risk patients and families for special services, team management, and track the patient's referral (i.e.) abnormal lab results.
- Observe sign and symptoms, document and report reactions of the treatment to the provider.
- Act as liaison to Director of Health Center Operations and nursing staff; function as resource person.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and achievement of goals and objectives.
- Provide input for evaluation purposes.
- Perform routine audits of health center departments, i.e. Women's Health, Adult Medicine to evaluate compliance with policy and procedures.
- Oversee the orientation and training of new employees.
- Conduct clinical teaching modules and evaluate possible learning gaps.
- Assist with staffing assignments and communications.
- Lead nursing staff huddles and identify areas of improvement.
- Assist with patient and provider concerns.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Director of Health Center Operations.
Marginal Functions:
- Participate in evaluating and planning for existing and new services.
- Assist in the orientation of physicians, nurse instructions, students, volunteers, and other staff.
- Support compliance of all regulatory standards
- Contribute to the implementation / evaluation of Care Standards as specified by the established regulatory bodies and Quality Improvement
Supervises: Clinic Nurse Coordinators, Clinic Nurse Facilitators, LPNs, Medical Assistants, Health Center Support Clerks, Health Center Receptionists
