POSITION SUMMARY: Assist the Chief Medical Officer in the support, development and implementation of the clinician team, clinical strategy, policy, guidelines, protocols, and programming pursuant to their site and medical specialty in order to ensure high quality patient care and Affinia Healthcare strategy.
POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- Full-time Clinician at Affinia Healthcare
- Licensed as a Physician, Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, or Physician Assistant in the State of Missouri.
- Preference given to experience in an urban health setting.
Experience: Clinical experience and leadership initiative at Affinia Healthcare
Skills and Abilities which may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly associated with this position:
- Requires strong verbal communication skills. .
- Has the Leadership ability to coordinate and communicate with Affinia Healthcare leadership, clinicians, and operational teams.
Transportation Requirement: Must possess a valid driver's license and automobile with insurance coverage as required by the State of Missouri.
License(s)/Certification(s) Required:
- Missouri State Medical License
- Basic Cardiopulmonary Life Support
FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
Essential Function
- Perform human resource functions for defined clinical staff including but not limited to on-boarding, mentorship, 2 week evaluation, 90 day evaluation, mid-year evaluations (as needed), and annual evaluation. Attention to clinical care, patient dynamics, team dynamics, career development, work-life balance, quality measures, and productivity are some items under consideration.
- Arrange call schedules as needed.
- Attend Monthly Clinical Council meetings between the Chief Medical Officer, Dental Director, Behavioral Health Director, and Operational Leaders (lead as needed).
- Support and lead site meetings as needed.
- Enhance communication between Executive leadership/CMO and site clinicians/team members regarding programs, policies, and strategies.
- Assist with creation and review of clinical policies, procedures, and guidelines that ensure evidence based, trauma informed patient care.
- Assist CMO as needed with patient complaints, clinician conflict, clinician schedules, and clinician training.
- Assist the CMO with other clinical and educational projects, teams, as they arise.
- Attend meetings as assigned that support Affinia Healthcare's quality teams, strategic initiatives, integration of clinical services and informatics.
- Participate as the Patient Centered Health Home (PCHH) clinician champion by site/specialty.
- Lead educational activities of clinician learners as needed by the organization.
- Assist CMO with other clinical projects, teams, meetings as they arise.
Marginal Functions:
- Attend Leadership conferences as available and applicable
Supervising: Site/Specialty Physicians, APRNs, PAs
Assist in Supervising: Site Students/Residents/ Volunteers directly related to the above categories
